Circuits are built by screw mounting the component panels to the chosen transistor board, giving a quick but very robust method of construction. With the component panels in place the complete circuit diagram is reproduced on the board.
Twelve component panels are supplied, including fixed and variable resistors, capacitors, switch, LED, thermistor, potentiometer, and a bias network for building an amplifier circuit.
The on-board LED gives the simplest output indicator. Other output devices can be connected via 4mm sockets, which also allow connection of voltmeters for measurement of input and output voltages.
The layout of the two transistor boards is very similar, emphasising the similarity of operation of the two types of circuit.
